INDIREKT

This was one of those finds that gave me the shakes...the kind of "oh shit, I need to listen to this NOW" excitement reserved for the top wants and holy grails of the addict/nerd world.  Driving female fronted Dutch hardcore with heavy influence from UK anarcho punk (especially evident on "Hart & Vaatzieken," my favorite song on the tape, and "Candlelight").  The first five tracks appear on INDIREKT's 1984 Niuws Voor Doven En Slechthorenden EP in what I think are slightly different versions, and two appear on the Statements compilation tape previously posted here on Terminal Escape, but never mind where they came from, just revel in the glory of knowing that now these songs are with you.  Urgent, angry, catchy political hardcore punk, sign me up...and now start your search for their killer 1985 Op Oorlogspad LP!

i'm debating downing an Eric's Cola so I can rip tapes till the sun comes up. but that's probably a bad idea.

do you have the INDIREKT EP? are these the same versions? i only got the long player so i can't say with any authority. don't really matter, as it is also MY kind of jam.

Do you have anything at all to say except "where's the fucking Cause Violence demo"?? Every day that seems like all you have to contribute!
Some of us check this blog to hear and discover good music, not just "collect files." I've looked at your blog, and there's a ton of great bands on there, but it's no more exciting than lurking some bit torrent or soulseek crap, no substance. Keep up the good work, Wizard, I may not like everything you post here, but there are plenty of us who appreciate the work you are doing!

(I gotta admit though, I want to hear that Cause demo too, but take your time!)

Do not forget their other ep and the split lp with Vernon Walers, both worth tracking down!

Shit Jos>>some of us haven't been living in Holland since punk existed, we have to be forgiven for missing a few releases here and there! ...Thanks for further increasing the list of things I don't have. harumph. Now if you can track down those early SECOND AUSCHWITZ tapes for me, then we'll talk about this mysterious INDIREKT/VERNON WALTERS split.

nice to hear from you...best regards.

nathan>>thanks for the kind words, but gabe has indeed been waiting for the tape for a couple of months.
gabe>>i sent you a copy today to tide you over, hope it helps.
