GUILTY BYSTANDERS

More unsung Midwestern hardcore in the form of Flint, Michigan's GUILTY BYSTANDERS. Raw and irreverent punk and the snottiest vocals this side of THE CRUCIFUCKS. "If It's OK With My Mom" is a legit punk classic and the amount of pure don't give a fuck that these cats delivered in 1985 is astounding. Also, broccoli really does rule.

This is the perfect mix of slop, snot, tongue in cheek, and middle fingers. I wish more punk just didn't give a shit like this, but I guess that's what changed. Hooray for the Midwest (and for you)!

Bass player from Fuckface punched Guilty Bystanders' drummer right in the kisser during a stage invasion at Spiderland Acres circa 1994.

I remember no punchings. It was a pretty chaotic weekend, but I do not recall a punching.

I grew up on Ben Hamper's radio show on WFBE every week back in the day. Saw these guys many fucking times. Nice to see some recognition all these years later...
