ANTI-STATE CONTROL

A rehearsal demo from 1982 that features a full hour of drunken UK punk. "Sniffing Glue Blues" and two other tunes appear in cleaner (and honestly far better) versions on the EP of the same title, but there are loads of great songs here; "Plastic Surgery," "Muse," "Nobody Cares About us" to name a few. I never like to pick a cover tune as a favourite, but their version of "Dear Prudence" is indeed stellar, and I think it takes the prize here. There are 19 songs on this demo, including several songs played twice (it was, after all, a rehearsal).  Mark from ASC helped out a bit with some song titles, and I've named all of the files that I can.  Enjoy!

ANTI STATE CONTROL REHEARSAL

Mark was also kind enough to share some ANTI STATE CONTROL photos like this one from 1982:
And there are loads more on his myspace that you should check out.  And, it turns out that Mark's current band THE CANNIBALS is pretty fucking ace as well!

I'm always happy to help. and as for a copy, gabe? just drop me an email and we can sort it out, though it seems silly to post something when we live in the same town? eh? I've got their proper demo as well, many of the same songs again, but better recordings. I'll post it in the future...

mark....
absolutely, any help you could give with track titles would be appreciated. all of the titles I listed were merely educated guesses based on between song banter and other recordings I have, as the tape is void of any details save the name of the band that I scanned at the start of the post!
thanks loads for responding, and of course, any other recordings or pics/flyers you might still have I would be more than happy to share.
cheers...Robert
