SYSTEMATIC ANNEX

I took up a big chunk of my evening trying to salvage the second track from this demo, "Resist To Exist," but I failed. A descent into warbling quicksand is all I could manage...ahhh, cassettes.  So here are three of the four songs on SYSTEMATIC ANNEX's 1985 demo.  The driving animal rights song "Death Trades" is really the focus of this tape, the killer fucking track that also appeared on Mortarhate's We Won't Be Your Fucking Poor comp.  The two other songs are mellower (especially the drumless "It's The Production Of War") but still solid UK political punk.  SYSTEMATIC ANNEX also cranked out a split tape with ANATHEMA in 1985 and then seemed to have called it a day.

Great! never heard about this one before. 2 of these songs sounds like same versions as on the split with anathema, so i uploaded the missing track:

can't tell if it is the same version, it is up to you to decide.

wow! i was the bass player, just found this page! I only have contact with Miffy the guitarist, he's my best mate & he still keeps in touch with Shaun the drummer- None of us have a contact for Kev at the moment though- maybe MTV should get us to reform LMAO XD

Hey Johnny, I wish you would reform! I really liked Systematic Annex, if that's the band you're talking of... I was bass player for Skum Dribblers in 1985, we supported Systematic Annex at that Pub which is / was / still is? opposite the crooked spire church in Chesterfield. First time I'd seen S.A., and I was well impressed. Reminded me of Instigators slowed down, but still same integrity...
